that picture is from the old jameson distillery. it was actually not as awesome as we all had hoped, they didn’t feed us enough whiskey for free, but overall i guess it was pretty informative.
we are now in the Irish countryside, county Kerry in the town of Killarney to be exact. it took about 4.5 hours to go 200 or so kilometers, and in case you don’t know that is NOT exactly making good time, but the roads in the country are basically sized for one way driving but they are actually supposed to accommodate TWO cars…that’s been fun.
but here we are!
last night we went to the “sports” bar in the hotel we are staying in and encountered some youngsters who were definitely British (Manchester area maybe?) who proceeded to flood the bar with heinous raver music from the jukebox and play pool without any regard for the people around them whom they poked with their pool sticks. they also broke a glass, which the hotel staff was not too happy about.
but the hotel has free WIFI!!!!!
the hotel in Dublin had a community computer and no wifi, and subsequently blocked tumblr as a website because of something on thedailywhat. links to naked pictures of ladies no doubt!
anyhow, the whiskey is flowing and so is the Guinness, and the ACCENTS…oh sweet jesus the accents!
but no one believes in ice here…or fans.
